INTERVENTION
Intervention means attempting to better or cure the symptoms / underlying
causes of the symptoms of Autism. Experts agree that intervention should
be early, it should be intensive and it should be structured.
Interventions include the following:
Speech, language and communication
Sensory
Behavioural, Social, Psychological
Medical
Biomedical
Alternative
The Association for Autism does not prescribe any one specific intervention
method, as the cause of Autism is unique to the individual. We strive to
empower our members through information and knowledge-sharing in order
for them to make the best (informed) decision suited to their unique needs.
The Association for Autism does not endorse any service-provider over
another – please contact us for referrals to all relevant service-providers in
your area.
